Product Details

Plantar Fasciitis is inflammation and micro-tearing of the connective tissue between the calcaneus and the metatarsals that are common, yet difficult to treat. The Plantar Fasciitis device has been designed for patients presenting these symptoms.

This device utilizes a heel lift to reduce strain on the Achilles tendon and thus the plantar fascia by reducing the typically constant tension and allowing tissues to heal. It also incorporates a heel cushion to reduce the pain associated with the heel striking the ground at the plantar fascia’s inflamed attachment point. The device is made with a polypropylene frame, an extrinsic crepe rearfoot post, a Spenco top cover and suede bottom cover.

It has been designed to fit in most standard shoes with removable sock liners or insoles. For aggressive treatment, using this device in conjunction with other modalities such as night splints, ice-water soaking, anti-inflammatories, and stretching is recommended for the best outcome.

The Plantar Fasciitis is constructed with a positive model of the patient’s foot and can be modified at the practitioner’s discretion.

For more severe inflammation, the Heel Spurs device is recommended.
