Model L7

Innovative orthotic solution for very low volume shoe styles including high heels.  Cobra-shaped heel cutout provides support in narrow shoes with steep sole angles.

  • Cobra Cut Shell Design
  • Rearfoot and Midtarsal Control
  • Premium, Medical Grade, Subortholene Shell

The Cobra is an innovative solution to provide arch support in very low-volume shoe styles, such as ballet flats and high heels. By drastically reducing the heel cup into a cobra-shaped heel, this orthotic can fit in very low-profile shoes with varying inclination angles.

Because it consumes no vertical volume in the shoe, the usual problems with heel slippage are eliminated. To prevent sliding downward in a high heel shoe, the cobra has a sulcus-length extension of vinyl and suede that allows the ball of the foot to pin the orthotic in place. The shell is finished to the width of only the first three metatarsals, so it can fit into pointed shoes with ease.

The Cobra device is constructed with a positive model of the patient’s foot and can be modified at the practitioner’s discretion.
